Miraj S. Patel is a highly motivated young professional who is currently pursuing a B.S. in Hotel & Lodging Management at Johnson & Wales University. He is the President & CEO of privately-owned, Texas-based hospitality company, Mirage Hospitality. Miraj has spoken at several prestigious and high profile business, educational, social and legislative conferences. He has written many papers and articles on hospitality trends and issues and has been published in various magazines including being profiled and on the cover of Asian Hospitality.

He has earned his Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA) and Certified Hotel Owner (CHO). For Miraj, passion and dedication are what pave the way towards his visions. He is determined to make an impact in the hospitality industry through innovations and creating unique ideas. Starting at an early age in the hospitality industry, he understands the business and continues to be energetic about learning. Prior to starting Mirage Hospitality with his family, Miraj spent four years interning with various companies in corporate Houston such as; LINN Energy, Salient Partners, Valencia Group, Arnold & Porter and Westmont Hospitality Group.

Aside from his passion for the hospitality industry, he truly believes in giving back to the community. His father, Samir Patel, has rooted the importance of community involvement into Miraj while growing up. Miraj serves on several non-profit organization boards and continues to seek opportunities to make a difference within his community.

Miraj is a proud lifetime member of AAHOA. In June 2015, he was recognized as the youngest AAHOA lifetime member at the age of 18, as well as was the youngest committee member to be appointed on an AAHOA committee. He now serves on the Education and Professional Development Committee as the Chair.
